Attribution and Disclosure
Credit says who did what, disclosure says how; both should be short and specific

The problem
You used AI. Do you say so on the finished piece. The answer depends on who is listening, who is paying and what the platform requires. Listeners do not need to know every plug-in, but clients, distributors, reviewers and audiences expect different things from "who made this". Too much wording reads as a disclaimer, too little reads as concealment.
How it works
Credit answers who did which part. Disclosure answers how that part came about. Collectors, arrangers and translators have long appeared in credits because each contributed identifiable labour. An AI tool sits oddly, being neither author nor instrument, so disclosure is usually phrased as tool and method rather than as a collaborator. Platform rules vary widely, some require synthetic content to be labelled, others only in news, advertising or political material. A client contract may also forbid generated content or require prior written notice, and that clause outranks your own habits.
Practice
Check three places first, the platform rules, the distributor's requirements and the client contract. Then set the level of disclosure, internally in the project file, externally in end credits, the description or metadata, as the context allows. State facts, not judgements, for example "synthetic voice, melody and arrangement by me" or "generated drafts, rewritten and recorded by the team". Avoid "AI-assisted", which says neither what was assisted nor what was not. Keep one template across the team so it is not renegotiated every job. If a client asks for silence, confirm that this does not breach platform rules or local advertising law before accepting.
What to listen for
In the hornpipe, how provenance enters the title. In the Monk adaptation, what the arranger did, audible in the harmony and voice leading. In the Gymnopedie score, the original itself, and then what your rendering should be labelled as. In Homage to Satie, how a tribute is stated outright rather than implied.
