Locate the problem

Replace “the chorus is wrong” with a time range and an action: unclear final syllables at 00:24–00:28, while retaining melody and surrounding rhythm. Record source version, selection, requested change, protected material and acceptance check. Replacement, extension and audio-conditioning features vary by product; verify the actual selection and export capability first.

Choose the smallest useful intervention

For a service with region replacement, duplicate the version first and save the actual settings with the result. If only whole-piece generation is available, another candidate may provide an editable section, or the part may need to be recreated. Gain and placement problems often deserve reversible DAW edits before another generation round.

Check around the seam

Start playback several seconds before the edit. Check rhythmic motion, pitch, space and tails, not only the cut point. Choose a crossfade to suit the material; longer is not always better. Overlaps can produce phase changes or doubled rhythm. Then hear the complete section to check narrative accents. Retain the pre-edit reference and a revision log explaining what changed and why the version was accepted.
